Troubleshooting & Replacing Your Old iPhone 4 Battery

I recently purchased the New Apple iPhone 4. Everything went fine, no problems whatsoever, for maybe about a month and a half. Up until now my iPhone Battery Life hasn’t been the same since I bought the iPhone. Compared to my previous iPhone 3G Battery, my new iPhone 4 Battery doesn’t seem to hold the same amount of charger, therefore decreasing my usage time. My iPhone 4 Battery Percent has been decreasing almost twice as fast as my other iPhone Battery. I started researching through Google for a iPhone 4 Battery Problem or iPhone 4 Battery Issue, I was unable to find others who’ve had similar problems. Strangely enough there wasn’t anything wrong with my iPhone 4 Battery Charging. It would charge as it should, but it seemed like the capacity was significantly less than usual. After countless hours of searching I decided to purchase a new iPhone 4 Battery Pack and iPhone 4 Battery Cover!

I purchased a new Apple iPhone Replacement Battery from the site below. They had cheap prices and a huge selection of items, let alone iPhone Repair Parts. The shipping for the item didn’t take as long as expected. The seller ships from Hong Kong, but the battery arrived as if it were from shipped from New York or other East Coast States. I was a satisfied customer.

After receiving the iPhone 4 Replacement Battery Pack I visited the trust www.ifixit.com site for instructions on how to install/replace the iPhone 4 Battery Pack.

Here’s the link I used: CLICK HERE

Once I replaced the old battery with the new one, I noticed a huge difference in iPhone operation time. I was able to use my iPhone a lot more throughout the entire day, sometimes it would even last close to 2 days, depending on my usage. I’m glad to have purchased the battery and am satisfied with the third party product!

iFunCity: How to Jailbreak Your iPhone, iPod or iPad

This guide will teach you how to Jailbreak/unlock your iPhone 4G, iPod Touch, or iPad with iOS 4.2.1.
Also, if you’re looking to repair your broken iphone or ipod touch screen visit my other guide on how to replace it:

Before proceeding, it is always a good idea to back up all the data you have on your phone through iTunes.

DISCLAIMER: I recommend that only older iPod users such as the iPhone 3G jailbreak using this method. This method is only for untethered, older iOS hardware. The newer iOS hardware is tethered, therefore you would have to re-jailbreak every time you reboot your iPhone. If this does not bother, then proceed with jailbreaking.

Step 1: Download iUserbar. http://iuserbarnew.ourtoolbar.com/

Step 2: In iUserbar, click “Downloads” then click your iOs 4.2.1 firmware.

Step 3: In iUserbar, click “Downloads” then click redsn0w.

Step 4: Open redsn0w and click Browse.

Step 5: Find your device’s IPSW file from which you downloaded from Step 2. Open the file.

Step 6: Redsn0w will display “IPSW successfully idtenified.” Click NEXT to continue.

Step 7: Redsn0w will ask, “Please select which options you would like to have.” Be sure to select “Install Cydia” box.

Step 8: Redsn0w will ask that you make sure your device is powered OFF and PLUGGED IN to your computer. Click NEXT if this is true.

Step 9: Redsn0w will ask you to put your device into DFU mode.

            DFU Mode:

             1. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

             2. Continue holding the Power button whilst simultaneously holding the Home button for 10 more seconds.

             3. Continue holding the Home button, but release the Power button for 30 seconds. Remember to continue holding the Home button after you release the Power button.

Note: If done improperly your device display will have a DFU Mode Failed message. You will need to go back to Step 1.

Step 10: Once this processes has finished, your device will reboot and you will have the Cydia icon. Done.

iFunCity: How to One-Click Root Your Android Phone (Droid X)

iFunCity: Electronics

Hey guys, I thought I’d write a small guide on how to root your Android phone. The Droid X in particular! I’ve gotten a lot of requests from people who need help rooting their phones. I’m kind of surprised because a lot of guides are already on youtube or google! The Droid X is an amazing phone by the way, just got mine a month ago and am loving it!

Step 1: Make sure you’re logged into your PC with Administrator Rights!

Step 2: Make sure you download “RootMyX2.” Unfortunately, this only works for Windows Operating Systems (Sorry Mac Users).

Step 3: Extract the files in RootMyX2. (Make sure you remember where you extract them!)

Step 4: Now take out your Droid X and go into USB Debugging Mode! You can do this by going into Settings -> Applications -> Development -> Then check the USB Debugging box.

Step 5: Now connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable and make sure it’s synced via the drop down menu on the Droid X!

Step 6: Go to the folder where you extracted RootMyX2, Right-click RootMyX2.exe and select Run as Administrator.

Step 7: Here’s the tricky part! Click… “RootMe”

Step 8: Enjoy your rooted phone! You should see a new icon that says “Superuser” on your phone, this is how you can check it your phone is rooted.

Optional: To unroot your phone, just follow the steps, but at Step 7 click UnRoot Me. Simple.
